    Lift Motion Taps Larissa Shames to Head Business Development

    CHICAGO—Motion graphics and design studio Lift Motion has hired Larissa Shames as Senior Producer. Shames brings a strong background in production, finance and business management to her role which will include heading new business development for the studio. She will also oversee client relations and production activities. She previously held a similar position with the Chicago design studio Protokulture.

    “We are very excited to welcome Larissa to the Lift team, said Lift Motion Creative Director Jason White. “She has a great mix of skills and a lot of valuable experience. She also brings tremendous enthusiasm to her work. Our clients will enjoy working with her very much.”

    Shames said that she has been an admirer of Lift’s work and sees great potential for the studio’s growth. “Lift has a reputation for working at the cutting edge of the Chicago design community,” she said. “It’s a wonderful opportunity and I am very happy to be part of such a great creative team.”

    Shames joined Protokulture in 2008 and served as a producer and operations manager. Previously she worked as a freelance producer, primarily in Southern California, on commercial and television projects, the latter including the Showtime series Weeds. A graduate in finance from Indiana University, she began her career in the financial services industry as an investment associate with RBC Dain Rauscher.
